July Update

Sisters in Christ,

As we approach July 4th, my heart is full of gratitude for the two precious freedoms we enjoy — our freedom in Christ and our freedom as a nation.  Through Jesus, we have been set free from the power of sin and fear. “So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36. And as The Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:1, It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” This spiritual freedom is eternal — no law, government, or circumstance can take it away.

We are also blessed to live in a country where we can worship openly, read our Bibles without fear, gather together in His name, and encourage one another in our faith. This national freedom is a gift that has been preserved through the sacrifices of many, and it’s one we should never take for granted.

During our summer off, I have been praying for you and for our Fall session.  I have also been working on job responsibilities for each of the leader and volunteer roles that make our Bible Study so successful.  I hope you have been praying about how you can become more involved in our Bible Study.  I’ll share the completed responsibilities of the leader and volunteer roles in a later update this summer and ask who will say “Use Me”!

I encourage you to stay connected through our website, pray for those who are included on our Prayer Page, and take time to review the summaries of the Spring Session lessons. They are a great reminder of what a wonderful and spirit led job our lesson leaders did with preparing and delivering our Spring session lessons.

A special thank you to those who lead our Special Outreach Ministries - Cathi Crawford and Sue Dillon (Meals on Wings) and Marianne Mann (Cards and Flowers).  These ministries remind our neighbors and friends that we are here to provide love, support, and a home cooked meal during their time of need.  We recently received a request for a recipe of one of the meals someone received.  What a great compliment to this group!

In closing, I’d like to remind us to reflect on both freedoms mentioned at the start of this update:

  • Spiritual freedom calls us to live boldly for Christ, walking in love and truth.

  • National freedom calls us to be good stewards of the blessings we’ve been given, praying for our leaders and our land.

May we celebrate both with thankful hearts, using our liberty to serve others and glorify God.

Thank you Jesus for Your amazing grace that has made us truly free,

Cindy 🙏🏻💕
